Fulbright Grants – Fulbright-Clinton Fellowship

The J. William Fulbright-Hillary Rodham Clinton (Fulbright-Clinton) Fellowship is a component of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Fulbright-Clinton Fellows serve in professional placements in foreign government ministries or institutions and gain hands-on public sector experience in participating foreign countries while simultaneously carrying out an academic research/study project.
Be U.S. citizens by October 14, 2014.
Have a Master’s level degree (MA, JD, MBA, MPA, MPH, MSW, MSc, or other) with an area of focus that is applicable to public policy prior to September 1, 2015, OR be currently enrolled in a doctoral program prior to the grant period which will commence in September 2015.
Candidates who hold a Ph.D. at the time of application or who will hold a Ph.D. at any time during the grant period are not eligible.

Have at least two years of full-time, professional work experience in policy-related fields.
The Fulbright-Clinton Fellowship benefits are comparable to the traditional U.S. Student Fulbright Program, and are based on the cost of living in the host country. Determination of the exact value of the grant is determined following placements due to a number of factors (approved housing options, location of ministry, security requirements, transportation/commute costs, etc.). Grant benefits for all Fulbright U.S. Student grants include:
Round-trip transportation to the host country
Funding to cover room, board, and incidental costs, based on the cost of living in the host country. An additional settling-in allowance is also provided
In-country assistance in setting-up housing, transportation needs, and safety/security planning
Additional professional stipend that can be used for language study, ministry-related travel, or other approved professional expenses.

Applicants must select one country in the Online Application, but may also rank one alternate participating country.
In addition to the Statement of Grant Purpose and Personal Statement, the Fulbright-Clinton Fellowship application requires a supplemental Situational Response essay.
