Center for Global Health University Scholar Awards

The University of Virginia's Center for Global Health has established the CGH -University Scholar Awards to encourage UVa students to design and carry out cross-disciplinary service learning projects in global health. Health issues can be approached from a broad range of disciplines including politics, biology, economics or foreign affairs.
The ideal CGH scholar candidate will be an undergraduate, graduate or professional UVa student who will return and enroll at UVA the semester after their work is complete, plan to work with an impoverished population for a minimum of 6 weeks, and demonstrate that the proposed project is an integral part of his/her on-going academic career at UVa.
The Center for Global Health will grant awards up to $3000 for scholars and $500 for two UVA mentors on a competitive basis in support of work to take place during summer or fall.
