Soros Fellowships for New Americans
Website: http://www.pdsoros.org/ Deadline: 2012-11-09 (National) The purpose of The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is to provide opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. The Program is established in recognition of the contributions New Americans have made to American life and in gratitude for the opportunities the United States has afforded the donors and their family. Thirty awards are made each year.
Eligibility
Applicant must be a resident alien or naturalized U.S. citizen or child of 2 parents who are naturalized citizens. Applicant must also have a BA or be in the final year of undergraduate study; applicant may be in the first or second year of graduate study. As of application deadline, applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 30.
Term
Up to 2 years of graduate study
Support
Each award is for up to $25,000 in maintenance grants and up to $20,000 in tuition support for each year of graduate study supported, a total of as much as $90,000.
