URN Calendar of Events
URN organizes and sponsors numerous research-related events each year. The most notable of these events is UVA Research Week, which occurs in the Spring. During Research Week, URN hosts workshops, arranges fireside chats with faculty, and facilitates student research presentations. The newest edition of The Oculus, UVA's Undergraduate Research Journal, is also unveiled during Research Week. The final day of Research Week is devoted to the Research Symposium, where talented undergraduates present their original research projects.
Throughout each semester, URN also works closely with the Center for Undergraduate Excellence (CUE) in an effort to publicize and promote undergraduate research opportunities at UVA and elsewhere. To this end, URN holds workshops to help interested students get involved with research and plans social events where students can gather and discuss their research interests and experiences. URN's general body meetings are undergoing reform and are not being held as of now.
The calendar below lists URN's planned events for Spring 2007. Please check back for updates and additions to the calendar.
