Social Science: Macroeconomics
Supervising Faculty Members: Sophie Osotimehin
Research Focus: Economic development, structural change and aggregate productivity: As economies develop, the composition of the economy evolves: workers move from agriculture to manufacturing, and then from manufacturing to services. The research project looks at the impact of this structural change on aggregate productivity growth.
Job Description: Work 5 hours/week during the fall semester
- Gather/organize data from various sources
Required Skills, Courses, Resources, or Background:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Stata is a plus
Training: Training on Stata would be appreciated (basic commands)
What You Will Learn: Have a better understanding of important questions in the field of macroeconomics/development; Work with data and learn a statistical software (Stata).
