Employment Opportunities

You may be considering holding a part-time job while you are attending school, or you may be authorized for a work-study position through your financial aid package.  Many students elect to work on Grounds and some elect to work off Grounds for nearby retails outlets, restaurants and other establishments. Either way, balancing work and school requires planning and good time management. If you need advice as you make these decisions, please feel free to see Laurie Casteen, in the Office of the Dean of Students, to talk through your options.  Also know you can utilize University Career Center to assist you with your job search. Below are some specific resources for job-seekers.

On-Grounds Employment Opportunities
There are many opportunities to work on and around Grounds. To find out about some of the opportunities available on Grounds, see the websites below. Remember some professors will also hire students as research assistants in various departments.  Working for a professor can be a great way to get to know a faculty member and learn more about an area of interest. Also remember that as a student, most on-Grounds employment opportunities will be considerate of your academic schedule.
