Dean on Call
The Office of the Dean of Students provides 24-hour crisis management services to University students. To reach the dean on call – contact 911 and the University police will connect you.
Incident Reporting and Response
Just Report It! is a system that allows students to report hate or bias-related incidents, as well as incidences of sex and gender-based violence that they have witnessed or experienced. There are multiple ways to report these occurrences. Please review the Just Report It! website for further details
A partnership between Student Council and UVa Parking and Transportation – SafeRide is available after midnight for students who need to get safely from one location on Grounds to another. Call their number, display your student ID when the distinctly marked SafeRide vehicle arrives, and you will be driven home for free. The University Police Department is a professional police department providing the same level of service offered by a municipal police department, as well as other services unique to an academic institution. The department is responsible for the well-being of everyone at the University, 24 hours a day. To find out more check out their website. Yellow Cab Service
The Yellow Cab Program provides taxi service to UVa students who find themselves in uncomfortable situations with no reliable or safe means of transportation and no money for cab fare.
