Love is Love 2014 - CandidVolunteering

The LGBTQ Center is staffed Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. by students. Volunteers work in teams of two. Contact the Volunteers Intern, Willis, to sign up!

Speakers Bureau

The LGBTQ Center’s Speakers Bureau consists of LGBTQ and allied students, faculty, and staff who volunteer their time to educate the University community about LGBTQ issues. The Speakers Bureau presents in an open Q&A panel format that allows for a great deal of interaction between the audience and the members of the panel.

We are happy to present in classrooms, residence halls, Greek organizations, diversity workshops or retreats – just about anywhere! If you are interested in having the LGBTQ Center Speakers Bureau present to your organization, or becoming a panelist, contact the Speakers Bureau Intern at

Community Groups

We are always interested in reaching out to different community organizations that help develop our diverse LGBTQ community. If you are a part of a community organization interested in getting in contact with the LGBTQ Center, please contact the Community/Marketing Intern, Mitch.

With multiple social events occurring every month, it is an outlet that allows students studying advanced degrees in different fields to meet and interact with each other. Our past events have included brunches, wine tastings, parties, potlucks, and more. Our activities are coordinated through an email listserv, and are always open to the friends and significant others of our listserv members. To join, contact Matt. We look forward to meeting you!
