- Grounds for Discussion—a theatrical production followed by small group discussions that address student life concerns
- First-Year Seminar—a second-semester series of discussions focusing on community, personal accountability and identity, finding a niche and relationships with faculty
- The Transfer Student Peer Advisor (TSPA) Program, which matches new transfers with current upper-class students to facilitate their transition to the University.
- Project SERVE, a one-day community service program for new students
- Family Weekend allows families the opportunity to visit their student and get a sense of life on Grounds
