Undergraduate students must be accepted into the University before being accepted as a major in the Department of Drama. Even before becoming a major, however, a student may be an active participant in all the production activities of the Department and may enroll in any of several classes.

DRAMA SUPPLEMENT [SUBMISSION GUIDELINES]
This information is also found here at the Office of Admission.

The Drama Department seeks actors, directors, writers, designers and technicians. You are encouraged to submit a Drama supplement in addition to your application for admission. Students can submit a DVD (do not exceed 10 minutes in length) or portfolio (if applicable). Please label DVDs with your full name and identify yourself at the start of each section. Include a resume of your performance/creative experience in drama. Do not write your social security number on any arts supplement item. Remember to indicate whether you are applying Early Decision, Regular Decision or for Transfer Admission. Remember, use the mailing label below and do not submit originals as materials will not be returned. The Drama Department will send a confirmation postcard upon receipt of your supplement. Please allow a few weeks after you have submitted your supplement to receive your confirmation card. In addition to an arts supplement, all students interested in drama are encouraged to contact Professor Lavahn Hoh via email.

DANCE SUPPLEMENT [SUBMISSION GUIDELINES]

This information is also found here at the Office of Admission.

Dance is not yet a major at U.Va., but curricular offerings each semester as well as student-run extracurricular ensembles and organizations allow dance to be a rewarding part of U.Va.'s liberal arts education. Students who have talent in the area of dance and movement and who are interested in being a part of the further development of curricular and extracurricular dance opportunities are invited to submit a dance supplement with their application materials; specifically, a resume of previous dance training and performance and a DVD of choreography or performance. All videos should not exceed 10 minutes in length. Please label videos with full name of applicant and date of birth. Also, indicate whether you are applying Early Decision, Regular Decision, or for Transfer Admission. All styles of dance are of interest including modern, ethnic, ballet, and jazz. Remember, use the mailing label below and do not submit originals as materials will not be returned. The Drama Department will send a confirmation postcard upon receipt of your supplement. Please allow a few weeks after you have submitted your supplement to receive your confirmation card.
