Throughout three years of intensive study, students explore the diverse range of theatrical styles and historical periods that form the core of the designer's visual catalogue. Students assist faculty designers and will have opportunities to design within and outside of our program. The final year of residency is devoted to preparing the designer to embark on a career in the profession.

Students are expected to assume production responsibilities that may include serving as prop master, scenic charge painter, or instructional assistant.
