Actor Bios: AMY BARRICK is thrilled and humbled to join the MFA acting company at UVa. Originally from Texas, Amy has a BFA in Creative Writing from the University of Evansville in Indiana, where she also got her start in theatre as a stage manager. After multiple internships in the field of stage management and wonderful experiences working at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Dallas Theater Center, and Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, she trained as an actor at the Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts (PCPA Theaterfest) on California's central coast. After a few years working outside of theatre, she went back to PCPA and has spent the past four years as its Company Manager, while co-directing student projects and acting whenever possible. Amy is excited to spend three years in beautiful Virginia, growing her craft and forging a career. SANDI CARROLL is an actor, writer and educator. As an actor, she has appeared on Broadway in Irena's Vow, and in films including Rabbit Hole (starring Nicole Kidman), The Adjustment Bureau (w/ Matt Damon), Steven Wright's One Soldier (Independent Film Channel), Brad Anderson's The Darien Gap (IFP, Sundance) and Next Stop Wonderland (Miramax, Sundance), Orphan, and Starving Artists. Sandi has also written and performed several of her own shows including Defiant After Sleep, The Second Hand Circus, and Faux: An Auto-Spy-Ography, based on her experiences as an undercover private investigator in Chinatown. Other favorite theater credits include Hecuba in The Greeks (M.E.T.), Unbound (Prospect Theater Co.), directed by Davis McCallum and Count Down (Bank Street.). Sandi is co-founder of and performer in the comedy group Logic Limited, LTD., where she has created and performed Famous!, Schaden, Freude, & You: A Self-Help Seminar, and TiVo La Resistance! As the Artistic Director of the Mud/Bone Collective she has created and performed in Richard 2x8, Liminal, The Merchant of Venice, 365 Days/Plays, and Impossible Country. As an educator she has taught acting at NYU and Emerson College, as well as movement for The Shakespeare Lab at The Public Theater, where she also served as the Education Manager. She has also worked as a teaching artist with Theatre for A New Audience and Theatre Development Fund. Sandi is on The Moth Advisory Committee and has a BFA in acting from Boston University. AMAREE CLUFF received her BA in Acting from Southern Virginia University. She has since worked professionally with the Virginia Shakespeare Festival and Virginia Premiere Theatre, in addition to a three-year run with Colonial Williamsburg's award-winning Revolutionary City® street theatre program. Favorite roles have included Rosalind in As You Like It (VSF), Della in The Gift of the Magi (VPT), Anne Sullivan in The Miracle Worker (SVU), and Luisa in The Fantasticks (SVU). In addition to acting, she has trained as a costume designer and has designed more than a dozen productions. Amaree is delighted to be pursuing her Acting MFA in a place that abounds in history and natural beauty, and when she isn't on stage her favorite places to be include libraries, museums, and apple orchards. BRAD FRAIZER was born and raised in the great state of Michigan and continued his education at the University of Michigan where he received a BFA in Theater Performance in 2004. For the past seven years he has been working as an actor in New York and around the world. Some of his adventures on stage include: Off Broadway; Three on a Couch (American Premiere), Soho Playhouse; New York Theatre: Road to Calvary (Reading), Playwrights Horizons; Behind the Sticks, NY Fringe Cherry Lane Theatre; My Expatriate, dir. Bill C. Davis and Likeness (NYC Premiere), Manhattan Theatre Source; The Contrast, Under The Gaslight, The Return of Peter Grimm, and One Third of a Nation, Metropolitan Playhouse; Desdemona's Dream, Schaden, Freude and You, and TiVo La Resistance!, (Co-Creator) Produced by Logic Limited Ltd. a Clown Collective, of which he is also a Co-Founder, with performances at The Brick Theatre, Dixon Place, P.S. 122 and The Lyric (Dorset, England) ; The Maids and Deathwatch, Egress Theatre Co.; The Devil is an Ass, Emuyabo Productions. Brad is so thankful and excited that the faculty at UVa has given him the opportunity to get back into the academic world to continue his growth as an actor and, soon enough, as a teacher. He can't wait to begin his journey as a part of this new band of eight players and the rest of the UVa community! MIKE LONG is thrilled to be studying at the University of Virginia. A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he received his BA in Theatre from Luther College in Decorah, IA. Mike is recently married to former actress (and current UVA student in English!) Marija Reiff. Mike has spent the last decade as a professional actor working and traveling all over the country. He has worked at theaters from Florida to Alaska, and tours have brought him to more than forty states. He has worked for such theaters as the Creede Repertory Theatre, the Commonweal Theatre, Troupe America, Nebraska Theatre Caravan, the Old Creamery Theatre, and Prather Entertainment. Some of his favorite roles include Mike Connor in The Philadelphia Story, Max in Lend Me a Tenor, Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew, and Ulfheim in When We Dead Awaken. Mike's hobbies include cooking, traveling, and hiking. He looks forward to working with his fellow MFA candidates and exploring beautiful Virginia. CHRISTOPHER MURRAY is originally from Beaumont Texas, where he received his B.S. in theatre from Lamar University. At Lamar he performed in A Lesson Before Dying, The Burial at Thebes, All in the Timing, Rocky Horror Show, and To Kill a Mockingbird. In addition to his work at Lamar Chris has been seen in several productions at the Rylee Theater in Long Lake, New York. He has also appeared in several independent features, such as Momentum and How to be a Good Listener. He is currently producing a web series in Texas that is scheduled to premiere in late April titled The Landlord. He is very excited to join the UVA family, and to become a part of close knit community of actors and learners. MITCH VOSS hails from Portage, Michigan. He originally matriculated at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) with the intention of becoming a Business major. There, Mitch joined several vocal music groups on campus, began working technical crew positions for the University's theatre productions, and eventually appeared in student-directed theatre productions and short films. Deciding to pursue a degree in acting, Mitch transferred to Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo) for Theatre Performance (B.A.). Among his roles at WMU, Mitch has played Jaques in As You Like It, Mr. Hardcastle in She Stoops to Conquer, and Moon in The Real Inspector Hound. In the Kalamazoo area, Mitch has regularly performed in the Portage Summer Entertainment Series "Shakespeare in the Park" productions, playing such roles as Orlando in As You Like It, the King in Love's Labour's Lost, and Romeo in Romeo and Juliet. Mitch has also performed at Farmer's Alley Theatre in downtown Kalamazoo as Remnar in Jeff Daniels' Escanaba in da Moonlight. In addition to his work as an actor, Mitch has served as an acting coach and director for young adults in the Kalamazoo area through Portage Public Schools and Kalamazoo Kids on Stage. Mitch is thrilled to continue his education and training at UVA and hopes to create incredible theatre with his comrades-in-art for the next three years!" WHITNEY WEGMAN is 25 years old and currently resides in Fairburn, Ga. Born in Columbia, MO and raised in Washington, MO, Whitney attended Washington High School where she was strongly involved in theater. She received her undergraduate degree from Avila University in May 2009, graduating with a BFA Acting, BFA Technical Theater, Minor Music, Minor Dance, and Minor in Film. After completing her degree, she moved to the Atlanta area where she has continued to pursue her acting career. During her time in Atlanta, Whitney has been involved with productions for Lionheart Theater, OnStage Atlanta, 360 Entertainment, Whitestone Motion Pictures, Tyler Perry Studios, and others. Recently, she was fortunate enough to be cast as Christy in a regional debut of The Dead Guy by Eric Coble. Other notable roles that Whitney has performed are Anybodys in West Side Story, Becky Thatcher in Tom Sawyer, and Phoebe in As You Like It. She is excited to continue her educational journey at University of Virginia and looks forward to discovering what this new adventure will bring.
