Hell Meets Henry Halfway is a tournament of malcontents, a competition of deadly backhands and screaming tantrums in a battle to prove who cares least and who laughs last.

After critically-acclaimed premieres in Philadelphia and New York and an Eastern European tour through Lithuania and Poland, Pig Iron brings its wildly-acclaimed show to the University of Virginia.

For this collaboration, Pig Iron joins forces with playwright and rising star Adriano Shaplin, the founder of the Riot Group. The result is a deluge of words, a heady cocktail of florid insults and absurd cruelties dressed in tennis whites. Expect verbal fireworks from the Pig Iron ensemble and Shaplin's razor-sharp script.

Hell Meets Henry Halfway earned a 2005 OBIE Award and was named "Best New Play of 2005" by Philadelphia Weekly

Tickets for Hell Meets Henry Halfway are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors and $8 for non-U.Va students. Tickets are free for all full-time U.Va students with valid ID. Tickets for the general public will be available at the Drama Department Box Office (open 1-6 p.m. beginning January 22) and the Live Arts Box Office.
