e-summit@virginia
is a conference about the internet led by University of Virginia
alumni who have helped pioneer the Digital Age and are virtually
directing its future. In the spirit of U.Va. founder Thomas Jefferson,
these visionaries imagine the future, examine our assumptions,
and weigh the challenges to serving the common good. This public
forum engages both panel and audience in a lively discussion on
theoretical and practical implications of Internet technology
and the rights and responsibilities of business leaders and private
citizens.
Please
visit the links on this website and view the sessions through
"on demand" video, available from the Conference Schedule
page. Information and biographies about the participants and links
to other "hot" University of Virginia sites are also
on this site.
Presented
by the Office of the President, John T. Casteen III and Virginia2020,
it is sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Fortune magazine.
