Charlottesville is located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia. The city is approximately two hours from Washing D.C. and one hour from Richmond, VA by car. In addition to the University of Virginia, Charlottesville has a variaty of attractions including the historic Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson, Ashlawn-Highlands, home of James Monroe, and Montpelier, home of James Madison.
University of Virginia
Engaging Difference will take place on the historic Grounds of the University of Virginia.
Participants will stay at Brown Residential College. Built in 1986, Brown is a modern building located centrally on the University of Virginia’s historic campus. The conference itself will take place in Newcomb hall, just a short walk from Brown.
