Current book project focuses on changes in Japan's system of social protection in response to the nation's problems with declining fertility and industrial "hollowing out." Fulbright Scholar, Abe Fellow, Rhodes Scholar, and Reischauer Post-Doctoral Fellow at Harvard University.
