Professor Dimberg's publications include: The Sage and Society: The Life and Thought of Ho Hsin-yin (author); Ming Studies: A Directory (co-editor); and “Ho-Hsin-yin: The Sage and Society,” in Nothing Concealed: Essays in Honor of Liu Yu-yun. His other scholarly interests are Neo-Confucianism, the Post-Confucian Phenomenon, and International Education and the Liberal Arts. He is the recipient Mellon and Fulbright-Hays Fellowships, among numerous others. He founded and directed the East Asia Center and is the former Director of International Studies at UVa. Professor Dimberg is also a member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Chinese Studies, a member of the Executive Committee of China Programs at the Council on International Educational Exchange, and a member of the Editorial Board of American Journal of Chinese Studies.
