Your application must be accompanied by a current unofficial UVA transcript.

A thesis is required for the Distinguished Majors Program. In the space below, indicate which subfield(s) of economics you foresee yourself working in, and describe any ideas you now have about topics you would like to pursue. Of course, you will likely change your mind before you actually write a thesis, but we are interested in your current thoughts.

Please give the name of an economics faculty member who knows you and your capacity to do work at the distinguished-major level. If you don't think any economics faculty member knows you that well, name the faculty member in whose class you feel you distinguished yourself the most.
