Peer Tutoring Service

Free tutoring for students in the core economics courses (ECON 201, 202, 301, and 302) is available every Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on the fourth floor of Clemons Library. This service is organized by the Economics Club. Tutoring is provided by top undergraduate volunteers who have excelled in their economics courses. The format is very casual—students are tutored in small groups or one-on-one, as they show up.

Would you like to become a tutor? Please email Pike Howard at aph3v@virginia.edu for more information. Potential tutors should be economics majors with at least an A- grade in the core courses that they propose to tutor. The Economics Club expects tutors to have a thorough comprehension of the material taught in 201, 202, and 301, and the ability and motivation to explain concepts to their peers.
