The minutes for the April 20th, 2006
meeting were approved by the council.
·
Discussion concerning council representation was
continued from our meeting in April. The goal is to improve representation for
all departments. No one is less important than anybody else. The door is always
open for further suggestions. We can make changes as we go along. The chart
that Missy put together was very efficient and informative regarding each
department and council representation. This will be further reviewed and
approved by Human Resources and the EVP/COO office.
·
Discussion concerning the By-Laws was continued
from the meeting in April. It was decided to use Classified employees and
University Staff when discussing membership and who is represented by the
council. The Chair has permission to
keep things on track. If someone is being disruptive and taking up the
council’s time, the Chair has the right to ask them to leave. All new changes
to the By-Laws were approved by the council.
