EOP's Online Search Committee Training
Equal Opportunity must be a factor and consideration at every stage of faculty recruitment and selection. Information contained in this training reflects the steps that must be taken to comply with the University's Faculty Recruitment and Hiring procedure and meet the basic components of the University's legal obligation to provide equal opportunity.
This online search committee training program is designed to assist you in advancing the University's goal of diversifying its faculty. Faculty are urged to take the training prior to appointment to a search committee, as searches will not proceed until all members have completed the training. The training program consists of 16 questions and takes an average of 25 minutes to complete.
After completing the training program, you will receive a certificate of completion effective for two years. However, no record will be maintained of individual answers to any questions, right or wrong, or the amount of time any individual takes to complete the program.
Please contact EOP if you have any questions or concerns about any information in the training program or if you desire additional training at your search committee meeting.
Thank you for your willingness to serve in this most important capacity.
The Director, Office of Equal Opportunity Programs
