Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Newcomb Hall

The Office of Equal Opportunity Programs (EOP) is sponsoring a conference to promote access, inclusion, and respect at the University of Virginia. UVA is committed to ensuring that our Grounds are a place where all persons are welcomed and valued for the unique experiences and perspectives they bring. The goal of this conference is to connect people and ideas around the following topics:

  • Respectful Workplace-Respect@UVA
  • Respecting Generational Differences
  • Accessibility at UVA
  • Cultural Intelligence
  • Keynote Address: The Truth about Equal Opportunity & Affirmative Action

In order to advance institutional progress it is important that our community understands and appreciates the primary players, policies, programs, resources, opportunities, and unique challenges impacting goal achievement in these areas. Through panel discussions and facilitated sessions, conference participants will obtain important foundational knowledge and skills on which our community can successfully build. Building this knowledge will ensure that the University is a model for access, inclusion, and respect.
