ROTC Affairs Committee

Charge and Functions of the Committee:

The ROTC Affairs Committee is a liaison between the University of Virginia and the ROTC community and provides policy advice to the Provost on ROTC matters when necessary. The Committee reviews the credentials of officers seeking assignment to the University of Virginia ROTC units and recommends approval/disapproval to the Provost. Meets with ROTC unit commanders each fall and maintains familiarity with the personnel and programs of each ROTC unit. The chair or a representative of the committee attends functions such as commissioning exercises, Veterans' Day commemoration, and other special events. The Committee reports at least yearly to the Faculty Senate on the status of ROTC units at the University.
