Engaging the Mind logo

The University of Virginia's Commonwealth 2020 Lecture Series offers free public lectures each fall and spring throughout Virginia. Sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Public Service, in partnership with the Faculty Senate Speakers Bureau, the series creates opportunities for the citizens of Virginia to engage in the intellectual life of a nationally ranked research university. The 2001-02 season will bring UVA faculty to communities throughout the state: Southwest Virginia, Hampton Roads, Lynchburg, Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Roanoke.
