Engaging the Mind
The University of Virginia's Engaging the Mind Public Lecture Series offers free public lectures throughout the Commonwealth and creates opportunities for Virginians to engage in the intellectual life of a top research university.

UVa Faculty Author Series
The Colonnade Club hosts free public lectures by some of UVa's most prominent professors who present their most recent academic work.

Artists, Scholars and Activist Series
The Women's Center hosts free lectures, workshops, exhibitions, film screenings, and performances that celebrate the accomplishments of women and foster public discourse on women's issues.

Medical Center Hour
A weekly, multidisciplinary forum on contemporary issues and controversies of interest to medicine and society. Open to the public. Held on Wednesdays from September through April from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.

Music Colloquia
The McIntire Department of Music offers a colloquium series, with lectures by thinkers and musicians. The colloquia are normally on Fridays from 3:30-5pm in 107 Old Cabell Hall.

South Asia Seminar Series
The Center for South Asian Studies sponsors a free series of interdisciplinary lectures by South Asia specialists from within and outside the university on Friday afternoons.
