Dome Room Dinners

We hope you will consider entering the lottery for a Dome Room Dinner. One of Family Weekend's most popular events, the dinners allow families to dine together in the Dome Room of the Rotunda—the University's original library—while listening to a lecture from one of the University's premier faculty members.

In order to accommodate the high demand, we are offering a Dome Room Dinner on both Friday and Saturday nights.

The Cost

The cost per person is $80. We welcome guests of all ages, and the cost per person is the same regardless of age.

Featured Speakers

Friday Night: Elizabeth Fowler
Saturday Night: Michael Levenson

The Lottery

Because of the popularity of the event and because space is limited to 100 guests, all parties will be entered into a lottery and selected at random.

Please do not enter the lottery if you have participated in this dinner in the past. We would like to provide an opportunity for families who have not yet dined in the Rotunda.

If your schedule is especially flexible, you can enter both lotteries—increasing your chances of being selected. Both dinners start promptly at 6:30 pm.

Registration to enter the lottery for the 2011 Dome Room Dinner is now open and will close on Friday, October 7. Selected participants will be notified on Monday, October 10 and must remit payment by Friday, October 14.
