Valedictory Exercises

Saturday, May 17, 2014 | 11:00 a.m. | The Lawn

The day before the Class of 2014 walks down the Lawn at Final Exercises, they will pay tribute to their fellow classmates and their time spent at the University at the Valedictory Exercises ceremony. This truly unique ceremony includes the presentation of the Class Gift and University Awards as well as a speech from a keynote speaker, who is chosen by the class.

This year's keynote speaker is Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, the NFL’s only five-time MVP.

All members of the U.Va. community, the graduating class, and guests are invited to attend. No tickets are required for the ceremony.

In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the John Paul Jones Arena. Doors to the arena will open up at 9:00 a.m.
