Mission |
|||||
To provide a current, centralized knowledge base of federal,
state, and international tax law, excluding payroll taxes, and to develop appropriate policies and
procedures for those aspects of the law which impact the University of Virginia. Tax Services strives
to monitor and facilitate compliance with federal, state, and international tax laws that affect the
University. Tax Services also endeavors to create and maintain a working relationship with the
diverse University constituencies, educating and informing them as to tax aspects of their current
transactions and assist in planning for future tax situations. In meeting these objectives, Tax
Services strives to protect the integrity and tax exempt status of the University. |

imperative that the University handle any and all tax matters in a timely and responsive manner.
Should you or anyone within your employ receive a notice, correspondence, form, or other mode of
communication from the IRS or other taxing agency, contact Tax Services (listed above) as soon as
possible. |

In accordance with IRS regulations, the University of Virginia makes its most recent
Form 990-T (Exempt Organization Business Income Tax Return) available for public inspection. To obtain a copy of
