Business Professional Development Basic Courses
Required for access to Integrated System financial applications and for BPDP certifications (courses taken since January 2007).Internal Controls (Enroll)
This course provides an introduction to important internal control information for activity at the University, describes the Commonwealth mandated Agency Risk Management Internal Control Standards (ARMICS) and how it relates to all University employees with financial responsibilities. Also includes ethics and best business practices. This class is designed to be taken in conjunction with the Integrated System Navigation class before users are granted access to the Integrated System (Oracle) financial transactional responsibilities.

This class is designed to be taken in conjunction with the Integrated System (Oracle) Navigation class before users are granted access to the Integrated System financial transactional responsibilities. After this class the students will have an understanding of the major units and systems involved in the financial and administrative duties of the University and an overview of the business issues that they may encounter on the job. Topics include: the University business environment, financial and administrative organizations at the University, an overview of the information systems and reporting available, and basic business processes of the University.

BPDP Intermediate Courses
These courses have been created to increase the understanding and skills related to fiscal responsibilities in University departments and units. Completion of all basic and intermediate courses (since January 2007) results in Business Professional Intermediate Certification.Awards and Cash Management (Enroll)
This course is designed to show the "big picture" of money management using the Integrated System and relevant reports. The course also provides an overview of all award types and cash monitoring requirements.

Mastering Account Reconciliations (Enroll)
This course is a guide to performing reconciliations at the University of Virginia. We will cover the required reconciliations, focusing primarily on expenditure projects/awards. The course will cover the reconciliation of expenditures in the Recon@UVA system.
