The Travel Card is a convenient means for charging travel-related expenses while conducting official
University business OR reimbursable business and recruitment meals when the cardholder is not in travel
status. All purchases must comply with current State and University travel guidelines.
It is also a means for requesting Traveler Checks for business purposes prior to travel.
Process to Receive a Travel Card
Each applicant must complete and forward an original application to the Travel Card Coordinator.
Cardholder training must be completed and credit must be received.
An agreement must be signed by the cardholder and given to the Travel Card Coordinator at the time
of card issuance.
Note: For security purposes, any Travel Card not issued to the Travel Cardholder within 2 months
of the original notification date will be cancelled. If the Travel Card is still required, the
application process will need to be repeated.
