Please consider donating to the UVa Food Collaborative. The Food Collaborative at the University of Virginia works to promote research, teaching, and community engagement around issues of food, agriculture, and sustainability. The Collaborative is made up of University faculty, staff, and students, as well as community members and practitioners. The Food Collaborative strives to bring world-class speakers, topical summits, and thought-provoking films to the community in order raise awareness and deepen understanding of the importance of a vibrant local food system. The Food Collaborative aims to drive a research agenda within the community to address gaps and raise awareness of the issues surrounding local food systems. Members of the Food Collaborative are currently conducting research on a wide range of topics, including farmers’ markets, schoolyard gardens, food deserts, food heritage, and infrastructure. Your gift to the Food Collaborative will help to fund research and events that broaden understanding of the local food system and propose actionable solutions that support and grow the local food economy.
