In order to succeed in the "total immersion" experience at Lyon-II, UVA students need to have completed FREN 3032 (or the equivalent) with a grade of B+ or better. Students not in this category should contact program academic advisor Janet Horne about the possibilities of studying French as a second language at the CIEF and courses taught in English at Lyon-II.
