Hoo-Lites!

October 1st, 2012

Congratulations to the following fraternities and sororities for their awards and accomplishments this past summer!

At their national convention in Houston, Texas a Lambda Phi Epsilon member was recognized for winning the Academic Excellence scholarship. Congratulations go out to Michael Kim for his exemplary work. The scholarship is given out to recognize brothers who demonstrate the highest standards of academic achievement and serve as a helping hand for others.

Alpha Phi won the “Excellence in Sisterhood” award at their National Convention this summer, selected from over 150 chapters! Sisterhood is one of Alpha Phi’s six foundational ideals. The “Excellence in Sisterhood” award is given to the Alpha Phi chapter that best promotes a genuine sense of friendship and unity among its members. This chapter is engaged in a wide array of campus activities, plans successful programming events for its members, and is exceptional at transitioning all new members into the Alpha Phi sisterhood.

Chi Omega received the “Award of Achievement” at their National Convention in Phoenix this summer. The Award of Achievement is awarded to Chi Omega chapters who excel when evaluated against the following standards: scholarship, membership, initiation, administrative, community service/campus activities, and highest standards of personnel/hospitality.

Gamma Phi Beta also won an award at their summer convention. They won the “Most Improved Public Relations 2012” award. Congratulations!
