Old Business:

WFPA luncheon:

The luncheon sponsored by the Women's Faculty and Professional Association (WFPA) preceded the business meeting. Bill Randolph gave a presentation of our history, accomplishments and goals and addressed questions from the floor.

Some issues:

• The impact of budget cutting on the General Faculty:
  B.P.Camden will bring copies of the "Financial Stringency" policy to the next meeting.
• Part-time benefits:
  Ann Loper will follow-up on the status of the survey done by the WFPA
• Decentralization:
  Bill Randolph will invite Tom Gausvik to speak at our February meeting to address decentralization and potential changes in benefits for General Faculty.
• Problems with benefits during grant hiatus: R.Sealock will follow-up

General Faculty Policies

Bill Randolph has sent a letter to the members of the Task Force reviewing the General Faculty Policies, and invited them to our January meeting. We hope to gather information on the status of the review , and let them know that we wish to be involved in the process.
