Campaign Themes
Student Experience
The University prepares students with the knowledge they need to realize their potential and serve as leaders. Graduates must function globally and locally—while meeting the needs of an increasingly multidisciplinary world that expects mastery of complex skills.
Research
To be a national leader in science and technology, U.Va. is enhancing the research enterprise spanning all eleven schools of the University. Support from the Campaign for the University will spur discoveries at the frontiers of core disciplines, both by individual scholars and by teams seeking solutions to problems of social significance.
Global Programs
To equip students for success in the global economy and prepare them for public life, the University must make internationalization even more central to its identity. U.Va. must continue to engage in international activities and augment resources that make global studies and service more accessible to all of the University community.
Arts
The University is creating a new environment for the arts on the Grounds. U.Va. envisions facilities and programs that inspire students and faculty to do their best work and that give every student the opportunity to make the arts an integral part of the University experience. Private resources will be required to raise the level and quality of support for our already successful arts programs.
Health
The U.Va. Health System advances the missions of patient care, education, research, and public service. Along with the the breadth and depth of its expertise, the Health System's strengths lie in the basic sciences, which play an increasing role in developing individualized treatment for diseases, and in research aimed at changing healthcare practice.
