The College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences is the largest of the University’s eleven schools and is the institution’s intellectual core. With this campaign, the College will improve the student experience, expand research capabilities, provide more financial support for faculty and graduate students, strengthen the arts, and increase international opportunities.

Campaign Priorities and Goals – $500 million
- Faculty Support – The College seeks funding to recruit, recognize, and retain preeminent scholars with highly distinguished records of teaching, research, and publication. Read more
- Research Support – The College seeks to establish a strong presence in emerging fields of research and to support infrastructure and seed promising ideas for faculty research. These initiatives are crucial in garnering support from federal government grants and establishing the College’s position within a top-tier research university. Read more
- Graduate Support – In order to boost competitiveness with peer institutions for the best graduate students, we must increase financial support for graduate students. It is the goal of Arts & Sciences to lose no graduate student due to financial need. Read more
- The College Fund – Generally, The College Fund represents unrestricted gifts that are immediately available to the dean of Arts & Sciences to address important needs that arise over the course of the year. The College Fund supports all of the priorities of Arts & Sciences and is the best way to directly support the undergraduate educational experience. Read more
- Legacy of Distinction Fund (See video at right) – The Legacy of Distinction Fund seeks to raise $5 million for bridge funding to pre-fill imminent faculty retirements and preserve the continuity of teaching distinction in the College. Read more

- $100,000 – Named Endowment Fund for general purposes
- $250,000 – Science Start-up and Academic Venture Fund
- $500,000 – Full Graduate Fellowship
- $2 million – Discovery Professorship
- $3 million – Chaired Professorship
