Class of 2003
Kari Teagno HymanIn 2003 I graduated from the University as a Foreign Affairs and Sociology Major. While at the University I was involved in Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, Class Councils/Trustees, and the Women's Center. Upon graduation I moved to Richmond, Virginia where I worked in fundraising at the University of Richmond, Richmond Montessori School and finally at the American Heart Association. After seven years in fundraising I started my own company, Boscobel, a commercial HVAC and plumbing supplier that focuses on federal, state, and local projects. By recommendation of several of my customers I started a second company in 2009, Free Bridge Contracting, which is a Class A commercial contractor focusing on the installation of mechanical insulation and mechanical controls for federal projects. Although not a native of Richmond I truly have fallen in love with the city! I currently serve on the Board of Stop Child Abuse Now where I am co-Chairing our newest fundraiser—Taste. I also stay connected with UVa by serving on the Board of the Young Alumni Council with the Alumni Association. I have also fallen in love with Richmond because it is where I met my husband, Heath. We are currently working on renovating our 98 year-old home in the historic Fan area of Richmond and blogging about it at www.3xcharm.com. |
