Annual Giving

The Importance of Faculty Support

University Provost John Simon discusses student-faculty engagement and the importance of supporting U.Va.’s distinctively committed faculty.

Funding the University

Unrestricted gifts made annually to the University provide the steady support to weather economic downturns and dwindling state support. These funds can be spent immediately and allow the University to address needs as they arise.

Why It Matters to Give to U.Va.

Your annual contribution makes a strong statement about your commitment to the future of the University. Your gift—of any size and made every year—helps uphold U.Va.’s tradition of excellence in academics, student life, faculty research, athletics, the arts, patient care, and public service. Participation, at any level, makes a difference across the Grounds.

U.Va. Cavalier Connect

The mission of students at U.Va. Cavalier Connect is to efficiently and effectively raise funds, create partnerships, and maintain records for the University of Virginia. The students seek to communicate with as many alumni, donors, and friends of the University as possible each fiscal year. They believe that the interaction between alumni and current students is an important part of building lasting relationships with the University as well as an effective means of fundraising for the ever growing needs of our schools and units. Visit the Cavalier Connect website.
