2008 Regular Session
The 2008 Regular Session of the General Assembly convened on Wednesday, January 9 and officially approved the 2008 Session (HJR 31) and the 2009 Session prefiling calendars (HJR 32). Crossover, the last day for each house to consider its own legislation, was February 12 and each house considered amendments to and passed the budget bills on February 21. The Session adjourned sine die on Thursday, March 13, and reconvened on Wednesday, April 23 to consider the Governor's vetoes and recommendations to bills passed during the Regular Session. 2007 Regular Session
The 2007 Session of the General Assembly convened on Wednesday, January 10 and officially approved the the 2007 Session calendar. Crossover was February 6 and each house considered amendments to and unanimously passed the budget bills (HB1650/SB750) on February 8. The 2007 Session adjourned sine die on Saturday, February 24 and reconvened on Wednesday, April 4 to consider the Governor's vetoes and recommendations to bills passed during the 2007 Session.

2006 Regular Session
The General Assembly convened January 11, adjourned sine die on Saturday, March 11, and reconvened on Wednesday, April 19 to consider the Governor's recommendations and vetoes.
The 2006-08 Appropriations Act was passed by the General Assembly during a special session and became effective on July 1, 2006.

2005 Regular Session
The General Assembly convened January 12, adjourned sine die on Sunday, February 27, and reconvened on Wednesday, April 6 to consider the Governor's recommendations and vetoes.
