What to Expect After Submitting a Report

Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our students is at the core of our hazing prevention strategy. By reporting hazing, you are playing an active role in contributing to this important mission – reporting hazing is not about getting people or organizations in trouble.

After a report is received, the University will work diligently to review the complaint and determine the next best actions. If the report is criminal in nature, law enforcement officials will be contacted to initiate an investigation. The University may also initiate an investigation. As part of this process, an organization’s CIO or FOA status at the University may be suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.

Your name and contact information will be kept confidential, but we may need to reach out to anyone who submits a report to clarify questions and get more information and details. All reports are received by professional University staff in the Office of the Dean of Students.
