Specializing in architecture, design, small business, and  personal finance. Publications include Preservation, Progressive Architecture, Inform: Architecture + Design in the Mid-Atlantic, American Demographics, Working Woman, Good Housekeeping, and Reader’s Digest.

 

Crain’s New York Business

Managing Editor, 1993-1995

Managed a staff of 15 reporters, copy editors and graphic designers at weekly New York City publication. Assigned and edited stories, ran the production cycle and helped plan coverage of local business and politics.

 

Crain’s Chicago Business

International Editor, 1990-1993

Established and managed a network of 12 overseas freelancers and ran monthly international section at weekly Chicago publication.

 

Features Editor, 1989-1990

Assigned and edited feature stories, including two award-winning articles on banking and politics.

 

Reporter, 1984-1989

Covered real estate, retailing, economic development, and politics, and wrote an award-winning article on the politics of growth in suburban Chicago.
