Summer Session Housing
Housing for Session 1 is now closed. Housing is still available for Sessions 2 and 3.
Summer Session housing is available from Sunday, May 15, 2016 to Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Summer Session residents will stay in air-conditioned suite-style accommodations in Gooch.
Meal Plans and Parking
Conference Services does not arrange dining, meal plans, or parking for Summer Session residents. However, meal plans are available for Summer Session students through Dining Services (982-5110) and parking is available through Parking and Transportation (924-7231).
To be eligible for Summer Session housing, students must be enrolled in UVA Summer Session classes for credit, during any combination of the three sessions available.
The housing rate is $27.00 per person, per bed, per night for a double occupancy room. Payment is due upon registration. To make a reservation, please submit the Online Registration Form and Credit Card Payment (available above beginning April 11, 2016). Please note we are unable to accept registrations by telephone or email.
Most registrations require payment in full now, using a credit card. However, if you are a scholarship athlete or need to pay by any other method, please select the "Other Payment Arrangements" payment method when you register. Students applying financial aid funds to their Summer Session housing fees will indicate this on the registration form in lieu of credit card payment. Proof of financial aid will be required to complete the registration process.
Roommate requests are permitted and must be submitted in the "Additional Information and Special Requests" section of the registration form. Roommate pairing must be mutual to be honored.
Please note that all cancellations must use the Change and Cancellation Form in order to be honored.
1) If Conference Services receives the cancellation form seven days or more prior to your scheduled check-in date, you will receive a refund less a $50.00 cancellation fee.
2) If Conference Services receives the cancellation form less than one week prior to your scheduled check-in date, you will receive a refund less a $50.00 cancellation fee and a charge equal to seven nights of housing.
3) If you would like to check out earlier than scheduled, you will receive a refund for the amount of time left in your reservation less a $50.00 cancellation fee and a charge equal to seven nights of housing.
Keys may be picked up between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. for Session I on Sunday, May 15, 2016, or between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on all other scheduled check-in dates. Check-in locations will be communicated by email.
All students must vacate Summer Session housing by 11:00 a.m. on the check-out day indicated on your registration form. Keys must be returned to the Conference Services office at Gibbons House. No students will be allowed to stay in Summer Session housing after 11:00 a.m. on August 6, 2016.
