The administrative offices of the Housing Division are located on the ground floor of several buildings in the McCormick Road Residence Area:

• From the North:

  Follow US 29 South. As you approach the University, US 29 is called Seminole Trail, then Emmet Street.

  After Emmet Street narrows from divided four lanes to a two lane road, go straight through the next intersection with a traffic light (Chevron is on your left and Cavalier Inn is on your right). Continue on Emmet Street past Memorial Gym and the Parking Garage (on left) and Curry School of Education (on right).

  After a pedestrian overpass, but before passing under the stone bridge, exit to the right up a ramp which leads to McCormick Road. Bear right onto McCormick Road, then take the second right onto Bonnycastle Drive. The Housing Offices are on your left.

• From the South, East or West:

  If driving from the South, follow US 29 North. Take the first exit after going under the I-64 overpass (US 29 business, Hospital exit). At the stop sign at the end of the ramp, turn right onto Fontaine Avenue.

  If driving from the East or West, follow I-64. Exit to Charlottesville at Exit No. 118-B. Travel north on US 29 and take the first exit (US 29 business, Hospital exit). At the stop sign at the end of the ramp, turn right onto Fontaine Avenue.

  Continue on Fontaine Avenue to the second traffic light, at Maury Avenue, and proceed straight through the intersection. The road becomes Jefferson Park Avenue. At the next major intersection (Y-type intersection at red light) turn left onto Emmet Street. The road then curves to the right. Just after passing under the stone bridge, turn left onto a ramp which takes you to McCormick Road. Bear right onto McCormick Road, then take the second right onto Bonnycastle Drive. The Housing Offices are on your left.

Air Travel

• The Charlottesville/Albermarle Airport (airport symbol CHO) is about 10 miles north of the University, and provides daily nonstop flights on Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, United Express and US Airways Express.
  
  
• In addition, the Richmond International Airport (RIC) is 80 miles east of the University, or about one hour by car. Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Reagan National Airport (DCA) are 100-120 miles north in the Washington, D.C. area, or about two to two and a half hours by car.
  
  

Train and Bus Information

• There is an Amtrak train station in Charlottesville at 810 W. Main Street, within 2 miles of the University. For reservations and schedules, call 1-800-872-7245. For departure and arrival status, contact the local station at 434-296-4559.
  
  
• Greyhound Bus Lines offers bus service to and from the Charlottesville area. The Bus Station is located at 310 West Main Street, about 2 miles from the University. The Charlottesville ticket counter can be reached at 434-295-5131. For information about fares and schedules, call 1-800-231-2222.
