Lawn

[Area Photo]

It is considered an honor at the University to live in one of the prestigious Lawn rooms. Located in Mr. Jefferson's original buildings, these rooms are truly in the center of the University. The setting is the beautiful Lawn, probably the most popular place for students to relax, study and play. There are rooms for 104 students. Living on the Lawn is restricted to undergraduate degree applicants in their final year of study at the University. The rooms are furnished with a bed, desk, wardrobe, bookcase, rocking chair, and blinds on the windows. Additionally, most rooms have a fireplace. No air conditioning, kitchen or study lounges are available; however, students can find whatever is needed just a few steps from their doors.

Students who wish to apply to live on the Lawn can find the form on the Housing Division's Applications page, under the "Upperclass Undergraduates" category.
