McCormick Road Residence Area

[Area Photo]McCormick Road Residence Area houses just under 1300 students in ten buildings which accommodate approximately 125 students each. All of the bedrooms are doubles, with the exception of 30 small single rooms, located between the hallways of each floor. The buildings are co-ed, although the floors are single sex. Rooms on a common corridor share a common bathroom (Normally, men are on ground and first floors and women on upper-level floors).

The Houses of McCormick Road include: Bonnycastle, Dabney, Echols, Emmet, Hancock, Humphreys, Kent, Lefevre, Metcalf, and Page.

Each bedroom is furnished with the following items:
  • 2 extra-long captain's beds, with 6 drawers underneath

  • Individual data connections to the University's computer network
  • Telephone unit with local service and voice-mail
  • Basic cable is available at an additional expense

  • Note: Bonnycastle and Hancock have 2 adjustable, bunkable beds and 2 built-in closets with drawer space, instead of the captain's beds and single closet
