University Housing Projects

This page features information on some of the current building projects taking place in the residence areas. Click on the project title to see more details about each project.

Alderman Road Residence Area:

This project, which will span the next 10-12 years, includes the removal and replacement of all the residence halls in the Alderman Road Residence Area that were built in the 1960s. Woody and Cauthen Houses will remain.

Gooch/Dillard Improvements:

A number of projects are planned or have recently been completed in the Gooch/Dillard Area. These include installation of wireless Internet, air-conditioning in the computer labs, televisions placed in area lounges, and cable TV hookups in the living area of each suite.

Lambeth Renovations:

The Housing Division completed interior renovations of Lambeth Field Apartments buildings 450 and 452 during the summer of 2007. Buildings 454, 456, 458, 460 and 462 are scheduled to be renovated during the summer of 2008.

McCormick Road Roof Repairs:

Repairs to roofs in the McCormick Road Residence Area began in March 2008. Work is currently happening at Hancock and then will move to Bonnycastle.

Faulkner Stair Replacement:

The concrete stairs and landings in Faulkner will be removed and replaced during the summer of 2008. This is the final phase of a four year repair project.

Furniture Replacement:

Furniture will be replaced in several locations during the summer of 2008.
