Every
year the Institute brings speakers to
the historic Grounds of the University, to address important
issues of our time.
The LaBrosse-Levinson Lectures series gives distinguished
speakers from the worlds of academia, politics, journalism,
and civic life a public forum in which to address, in an
interdisciplinary and broadly accessible fashion, a current
and central concern at the intersection of religion, culture,
and social theory. Papers delivered at the LaBrosse-Levinson Lectures are subsequently published in a corresponding issue of The Hedgehog Review.
Occasional lectures and readings
Occasional lectures
and readings give the communities
at the University of Virginia and in Charlottesville a
chance to hear distinguished scholars and world-renowned
artists read and share their work.
For this year’s lecture and reading schedule, please
see our calendar.
