PRESS RELEASE
The University of Virginia's Institute for Environmental
Negotiation (IEN) and the Department of Urban and Environmental Planning will host a Symposium, Dialogue + Design: Paths to Sustainability on Friday, November 19, 2004. The Symposium celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the Institute as well as the career of retiring IEN founder and Lawrence Lewis, Jr. Professor of Architecture and Planning, Richard C. Collins.
The Symposium will bring together many people who have
participated in the Institute's significant activities. It will also explore
the nexus of dialogue and design, sustainability, collaboration, and
consensus building for the future. The Symposium will be held in Campbell Hall Room 153, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, in UVA's School of Architecture. A reception will follow at the UVA Art Museum next door. All are welcome to attend the Symposium and reception.

From I-64:
Following signs to the UVA Information Center, get off at exit 118B for the Route 29/250 Bypass. Go approximately 2 miles and take the off ramp for Route 250 East Business (Ivy Road). Turn right off the exit ramp and follow Ivy Road. At the intersection with Emmet Street, turn right onto Emmet. Follow signs for the Visitor Parking Garage.
Campbell Hall is located in the Arts Precinct, behind the University Art Museum on Rugby Road, approximately a seven minute walk north of the garage.
From I-66 via US Route 29 North:
Take I-66 from Northern Virginia past Manassas. Take the exit marked "Route 29 South - Gainesville." Proceed to Charlottesville, where Route 29 becomes Emmet Street. Pass University Hall basketball arena on the right. Follow signs for the Visitor Parking Garage on Emmet Street.
