Significant efforts will be made to insure that the IM-Rec Sports-designated parking spaces will be used accordingly. In an effort to better monitor the spaces that have been designated for the recreation centers, meter boxes have been installed at the Aquatic & Fitness Center and North Grounds and Slaughter Recreation Centers. All spaces designated as such will be enforced accordingly. VERY IMPORTANT: Note your space number and place your money in the appropriate slot in the meter box in the facility lobby.

East parking lot of the Aquatic & Fitness Center (behind the bldg.) has re-opened!

Current Academic Building Projects to Challenge AFC Parking Options. Project Information from P&T.

Construction of two new academic buildings along Whitehead Road is well underway. As a result, we have lost some parking spaces, some permanent, some temporary. The East parking lot of the Aquatic & Fitness Center (behind the bldg.) has re-opened. Parking continues to be available in the West lot along Alderman Road and in the T-4 section of the East Stadium lot.

Current parking areas are available to AFC patrons, Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM:

Metered spaces on Whitehead Rd.

Weekdays and weekends, after 5:00 PM, all permit spaces around the East side of the stadium are available. The University has added lighting in the T-4 lot (East stadium lot) to improve those spaces for late night patrons of the AFC (the building stays open until midnight on weekdays) and to improve the general safety in this area.

All other Rec Facilities

Parking for Memorial Gymnasium is available in the Newcomb Hall parking garage on Emmet St. adjacent to MEM Gym.
