Cavalier Day Camp is a
fun recreational, motivational, and educational adventure for
children
going into grades 1-5. CDC is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia
Department of Social Services as a "Child Day Center".
Four, two-week sessions are offered June 9–August
1.
We incorporate swimming, music, drama, nature activities, and
arts and crafts into our programming. Campers are grouped
according to their year in school. Depending on their age, campers
may visit museums, community attractions, and nature areas for
hiking
and canoeing throughout the summer. Campers begin and end their
day at the UVA Slaughter Recreation Center. Each camper will receive
a T-shirt that's sure to be a summer favorite.
Campers may register for any or all of the four, two-week sessions.
Each session centers around a different theme, which is incorporated
into scheduled camp activities whenever possible. Activities may
include local field trips to a lake or park, ice-skating, roller-skating,
and other special events. |
Member
registration begins Monday, March 17, 6:00–7:00
PM, in the Aquatic & Fitness Center gymnasium. Priority
registration for members will continue through Friday, March 21
in the Aquatic & Fitness Center Business Office. All
deposits and forms must be submitted at the time of registration. Open
registration begins Monday, March 24, in the
Aquatic & Fitness Center Business Office, and will be ongoing
based on space availability.
